Hydrologist from 2001-2011, collaborating with other water resource managers to forecast stream levels and impacts ranging from drought to extreme flooding. Jay also served as the Boise NWS Forecast Office’s Sr. He manages coordination, decision support and outreach with emergency management partners in Idaho and in Southeastern Oregon to protect lives and property from extreme weather. Jay has over 30 years of experience with NOAA’s National Weather Service (NWS) where he is currently the Warning Coordination Meteorologist (WCM) for the forecast office in Boise, Idaho.
